A fly on the wall at an Opendoorz networking meeting might wonder if it really were a networking meeting – laughter, banter and goodwill are all normal occurrences, there’s no waiting for your turn to speak here!

The fly would also see a room full of Business Owners, Directors and Partners. It might wonder why such high calibre professionals are all gathered together but soon it would see how willing and keen they all are to share experiences, expertise, ideas and challenges and how focused they are on supporting and encouraging each other in all aspects of business networking, growth and development. The fly would see that they genuinely get satisfaction and success from being part of the Opendoorz family.

Being a fly on the wall isn’t the only way to experience Opendoorz. Once a month we hold a guest event where you can experience it for yourself.

Making new connections flows through everything we do and as such our guest events are lively affairs with plenty of opportunities for you to tell us about yourself and your business and for us to let you know how we can help you and introduce you to mingle with fellow business professionals.

Our members know that Opendoorz supports business growth and development and you’ll witness that first hand during a guest event. In particular, the Open Forum session is a stellar opportunity to get expert insight and advice from the group regarding a question or issue you might be finding challenging. If you have a particular dilemma that’s keeping you awake with dread or excitement and you’d like the group to help, we encourage you to raise your hand!

You’ll also experience a couple of Showcases. These are where members divulge more about their business; what they do for their clients, who are good connections for them and how we can support them in growing their business. In addition, they’ll share their expertise with us. There’s always something to learn during a showcase!

It’s this consistent learning that keeps professional skills fresh and up to date. At Opendoorz we are committed to the ethos of Continuous Professional Development and engaging CPD runs throughout all our meetings. We have a wealth of expertise within the room and members share their experience whether it be networking or business related. You’ll pick up industry knowledge, enhance your networking skills or find out about the latest innovation in business. It’s interactive, engaging and an invaluable asset to your success.

With so much vibrant discussion and lively debate our biggest challenge is often keeping to time so that we can hit the bar at 6pm! Equally as important as the meeting itself, over a drink we continue our discussions, forge relationships, identify strategic partners and unpick potential synergies.

Coming to an Opendoorz networking guest event is an opportunity to rub shoulders with ambitious decision makers within a company. There’s always something new to be learnt and business experiences to be shared, both during the meeting and in the bar afterwards over a chilled glass of wine or a beer! Our venues in Oxfordshire, and soon to be Reading in Berkshire, are all the types of environments where no-one seems to mind lingering a little longer!

Membership of Opendoorz is based on a range of criteria. Once you’ve been along as a guest if you’d like to find out more about joining us, and there’s a strong buzz between your business and our members, then we’ll invite you to apply. This would involve a meeting to chat through how we at Opendoorz could become a key part of your marketing strategy and answer any questions you may have.

We don’t believe in the ‘pack ‘em in’ philosophy and so it’s better that we’re the right fit for you and you’re the right fit for the group. Quality runs through everything we do from the calibre of our members, guests, the opportunities we strive to create and the relationships we form.

Our groups meet in Oxford, Witney, Weston-on-the-Green, Henley and soon to launch, Reading. Our guest events are always the third week of the month – the day varying dependent on which group is being visited. We meet 3.45-6pm .
